World Environment Day 2023: How using environmentally-friendly beauty products can protect the Earth

Every year on 5 June the world celebrates World Environment Day, which encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

The day serves as a reminder that people’s actions on plastic pollution (and other factors impacting the environment), matters.

As individuals we have much greater power than we think. Not only do we have the ability to hold large corporations responsible for making positive changes, but we can make positive changes ourselves, simply by introducing a few small changes in our daily routines.

One person’s lifestyle changes may not seem that significant in the greater scheme of things, but imagine the impact when thousands or millions of people all make the same small change.

One of the things we can do as individuals is to make smarter purchases. We hold the buying power and we can make the choice to purchase environmentally-friendly products, thus contributing to greener practices. The easiest place to start? Your beauty cupboard!

The beauty world is becoming greener by the day and it’s no longer difficult to find fantastic quality environmentally-friendly alternatives. If you’re new to green beauty and want to make the switch, we’ve got a couple of suggestions. Not only are these products kind to the environment, but they’re also easy on the pocket.
